Kay Syrad is pleased to accept commissions for writing, research and reviewing. She writes regularly for the poetry journal Artemis and has recently written for The North. She is co-author of two Thames & Hudson monographs, the first on the internationally renowned artist Chris Drury, (Silent Spaces - 1998, 2004) and the other on the landscape artist Philip Hughes (Tracks - forthcoming May 2012). She has written catalogue essays for a number of artists including Walter Bailey and Alison Lapper. She is also on the Editorial Collective of the innovative cultural journal Fourth Door Review.
Kay has conducted research for Brighton University, Eastbourne Health Council and the Workers' Educational Association (WEA) and was commissioned by Arts in Healthcare to write a memorial history of a neo-Gothic hospital, resulting in the book A Breath of Heaven, Rosewell Publishing (Here)
